AN EXTRAORDINARY GOD!
'' When the righteous prays, his prayer is powerful and effective '' (James 5,16b)
We know quite well the story of Elijah (1 Kings 17) who prayed with insistence that it would not rain, and for three and a half years he did not rain on the ground (James 5, 17b). However, we tend to forget that Elijah was an ordinary man, of the same nature as us and the difference: it is God himself who did it. Like the moon without the reflection of sunlight is dull, dark and lifeless; we also as servants and maids would be vile, useless or lifeless away from our extraordinary God.
Our God does not change (James 1:17): What he did for and through Elijah, he can still do the same for and through us...
Heavenly equation for today:
Ordinary Man or Woman + an extraordinary Faith in God = extraordinary Fruits...in the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, Amen!
